For the final assignment of my recent architectural design elective course at Syracuse Architecture, we looked at strategies of estranging recent projects whose overall compositional sensibility exists somewhere between object and field. Strategies for estrangement include figuration/defiguration, addition or subtraction of texture, scalar shifts, volumetric re-composition, and alteration of previously existing spatial relationships.
